I remember a huge sign on D5 Johnstone that read
Clemson
Beat
Anybody!
Could be back to that again. We were coming off of a 7-4 record in 1974 and thought we were contenders. I think it was at Alabama (Legion Field) the first game. We lost 56-0 I believe.
So what does that have to do with 2025. We lost the team early that year and we've lost it again.

I have never seen such a lackluster approach to preparing for a game or seeming to care about a game in all 4 of our ventures. We had 6 months to prepare for LSU, plenty for GT (we knew what they were going to do), same with Cuse. For pete sake...Nobody's "give a crapper" was turned on. I'm tired of it all. Dabo is clueless on what to say in a presser which is a direct reflection of his thinking process.

My future wife and I were at that game. Our starting QB, Mike O'Cain, was injured very early in the game. True freshman, Steve Fuller, came in and was overwhelmed. When we drove back home, people didn't stop honking at us until we got back to South Carolina.

I remember a backup center (George Jalen) I think. I was talking to him and he had to play most of the game because the line starters on both sides of the ball were injured in the 1st quarter. LOL

We played Alabama the week after they lost to Missouri on TV.
They went 11-1 that year

Me too. 75 was my freshman year. 2-9 that year followed by 3-6-2. That was my perspective of “bad” years…
