We know evil is ever present. It never stops lurking. I, like many, choose not to dwell on it. But there are moments when evil becomes all too visible. When evil takes the spotlight.
Saturday was not the first time evil had acted. Shootings, assaults, violent crimes, sexual crimes are all far too prevalent. Anyone who has lost someone they love; or seen someone they love suffer; or suffered themselves due to an intentional malicious act has been scarred by evil. It is unthinkable, yet such horrific acts happen all too often to innocent victims.
If you are like me, you choose not to think about it in your day-to-day life.
Then something chilling occurs.
On Saturday we witnessed evil take the national spotlight. Why would a person willing choose to shoot a former president and current presidential candidate? In cold blood? What could possibly be worth such a heinous, malicious, and evil act?
It is not the first time evil has taken center stage. We have seen horrific school shootings. We have seen horrific church shootings. Evil occasionally likes the spotlight. Saturday evil acted in a particularly public way.
Evil’s Highest Profile Day of My Life:
In my lifetime, the single most public act of evil occurred on September 11, 2001. We can never unsee what we saw that day. But we remember the bravery. As people were rushing down to escape a building that was doomed to collapse, we remember the firefighters and police officers who were rushing UP the building to help them get out. Bravery! Heroes!
And there were passengers on a doomed plane who intentionally crashed that plane before it could be used to bomb another target. Bravery! Heroes!
In short, bravery also appeared that day!
Bravery Responded Saturday as Well:
On a smaller scale, on Saturday I again saw bravery respond to evil. Secret Service agents surrounded a target for assassination with their own bodies. They placed themselves – again, their own bodies – directly in front of the line of fire to shield someone else. Bravery! I thank God there are people who are able to do such a thing. I don’t know that I could.
Evil Will Not and Cannot Win.
I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. And I am a firm believer that our Savior will return one day, and evil will face its judgment. Until then we will keep praying. Until then we will stay vigilant.
We will move forward! Those who support President Trump, those who support President Biden, and those who support anyone else will continue to debate – as we should. That is who we are. That is what we do.
Sometimes evil takes the spotlight. But, it will not triumph in the end. And, we will push forward!
And I thank God for the Brave!

planes would actually cause the towers to fall. He thought there would be a lot of damage where they actually hit, but never in his wildest dreams do I believe he thought a plane strike would topple either of them. He sealed his fate that day, much like the Japanese leaders who ordered the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. BOTH of those attacks "awakened a sleeping giant".

Bin Laden got what he wanted out of the attack. We reacted in precisely the way he wanted us to. You think he didn't expect to die? He was probably surprised he lived as long as he did. His goal was to drive a wedge between the US and the Muslim world, and it's hard to say he didn't accomplish that to some degree. We spent 20 years and trillions of taxpayer dollars on pointless wars in the Middle East, and one of the countries we invaded didn't even have anything to do with 9/11.

I have to agree there are many heroes everyday people in this country the united states, and probably many on this board that want the best for this country family etc. whatever you're personal belief as far as religion or spiritual or perhaps you have none at all i do agree we should look out for each other, the best we know how.
having said all that........this is the part where the downvotes begin eye rolls etc
Donald Trump is every bit a part of the deepstate and "swamp" that he claims to want to drain, he does work with Joe Biden as do all presidents and yes it is a uniparty working together for a specific aim.
Never underestimate the tool they use (media) as the weapon to give life to there deceptions and scripts with an unlimited budget. its very clear Donald Trumps main task given to him by his deepstate masters is to attempt to rile up conservative minded type people to "act out" or as he screamed with a fistpump multiple times "fight fight fight" yes they want this country to fall into deeper chaos so that they can eventually bring in the change they want.....a new order of the ages.
Someone mentioned the terrible day of 911 above and yes it was, but the way in which you see things is very important, do not be led by given narratives and large left/right think speak. the CIA website itself has declassified that Osama Bin Laden is in fact a CIA agent himself named Tim Osman (sometimes spelled Osmond) reality also says that when George Bush jr. aka George Scherff jr. grounded all planes........he made an exception for Bin Ladens family....he wanted them out safely.......the next thing he did was sign the Patriot Act which was already written and ready to go. AKA electronic police state legislation......keep in mind most people at the time did not carry around cellphones/smartphones, tablets did not exist....gee i wonder how they knew where it would all go eventually..............they want you to focus on the "axis of terror" in the middle east iraq, iran, afghanistan "the muslim threat" they said they have secret weapons of mass destruction.......of course that turned out to be an admitted lie....but anyway lets keep the boys over there another 20 years.
and always remember Israel is our only friend in the middle east....funny because we had no ememies there before its existence

Throughout America in big cities that is highly populated is a breeding ground for violent crimes of murders, armed robberies, violent assaults, drive by shooting into peoples homes, and rape.
In small town America the people who would rather live in those small populated areas rarely ever have those big city crimes, and some may live their entire lives without ever hearing of friends, family, or their neighbors being murdered, robbed, raped, or their home being shot full of holes with fully automatic weapon or assault style rifles.
If I've said it once I've said it many, many times that our country and our world is getting overpopulated, and it has been proven many times throughout human history that when humans start feeling closed in with to many people in or around the same area humans will resort to violence bc feel that is what they must to survive in the area they have made their home, we haven't seen the worst of it so far. Just wait until over populating has taken up most areas where animal use to roam freely, and the land that once was use to grow survivable crops to eat. We haven't seen anything yet, just wait for when it gets to when neighbors start killing their neighbors bc they believe they are hoarding and hiding food in their house next door watching his family starve, that's when it really turns nasty bc humans are programed to survive with any means necessary and only the very strong and brutal will have the best chance of surviving at least until mother nature takes back the land that was covered with asphalt, concrete, and mega corporate office buildings that were built wasting mega space just because they could afford it and not need it...

I suppose that before that happens, things will be so bad worldwide that WWIII will reduce the population as countries have to take those things from other countries(us) that had not already reached the point that you describe.
