how was/is it? What is unique if anything? Personally we don’t eat from fast food chains but would love to hear about it. Thanks and go Tigers!

I had it when I was in Houston for work a couple of years ago. They love it in Texas and it’s a good burger, but it reminds me of Sonic.

I live in San Antonio. I try not to eat too much fast food. But I find myself at Whataburger about every 2-3 weeks. I think it’s great. The quality is always on point.

Five Guys and Bad Daddy's burger are far superior.

Whataburger is a different tier from those two based on price alone, so it’s not a fair comparison. Not many places are close to bad daddy’s. I’ve always found five guys a bit overrated, my go to in that price range is shake shack.

BTW, I don't like 5Gs fries, either.

Really disappointed the first (and maybe last) time I had one in San Antonio. If I remember, there was no flexibility as to what you could get on them. I wanted Lettuce, Tomato, and Mayo, and all they offered was their special sauce and lettuce (if I remember correctly). I would prefer the In and Out burger from California.

Eaten many a Whataburger. Always get the grilled onions and Jalapenos if you like peppers. I think they are probably one of the best FF burgers. I just ate at a 5 guys in College Station and I just never see what all the fuss is about over them. They are average, no better than Whata.

The first time I went was to Whataburger was while I was vacationing in Arizona. I saw the orange straws at the drink station and immediately stuck two handfuls in my pocket to bring back where the Blue Ridge yawns its greatness.

Californians be stupid methinks.
Biscuits: Bojangles>Hardee's>Whataburger>McDonalds>Chickfila (haven't tried Wendys breakfast)
Lived in DFW from '17 to '20, hit Whataburger about 2-3 times/mo for lunch. Weekly biscuit suffered greatly without Bojangles or Hardee's but Whataburger filled in ok.

I don’t want to step in front of any oncoming trains but I love Steak-n-shake burgers and fries. Great price point, flavor and skinny fries. That being said I’ve eaten WAB in the FL panhandle and TX and it’s fine. Best one I had was about 9:30 am heading home from the beach after that last night of drinking and it saved my life lol. The situation may have affected my opinion.

There are two in Concord NC where I live, one is about a mile from the house. Haven't eaten there in over three years. It's nothing special. Would only go if I really wanted a burger and didn't desire to travel to the preferred spots.

Growing up, Daddy'd pull over at the Whataburger on the way to shoot deer down in Lampasas, and we'd both enjoy a single with jalapenos and a Dr. Pepper.
Now it's like eating a salt lick.
Avoid.

Lampasas? I saw Johnny Lam Jones run a 9.05 100 yard dash back in 76. My friend was in the race and needless to say, he was smoked. We were in the same district but fortunately we didn’t play them in football that year. But, you probably have no clue as to who I am referring to.

Had it once while in College Station to see what all the fuss was about. Decent burger worth trying after the buzz dies down from the new openings. However, I WOULD NOT wait in a long line for one. I agree with some of the other posters about the jalapenos.

It's your standard fast-food burger. It's not In n Out, Shake Shack, 5 Guys, or Fuddruckers. Not even in their category. Think Sonic or Hardees. It's fine, but nothing to get excited about. Cookout is probably better.

I lived in Dallas for 8 years and Whataburger is big there. I never thought it was very good. Much prefer Five Guys.

Woodstock Georgia here. A Whataburger opened in Kennesaw last year and is wildly popular mostly due to proximity to Kennesaw State University. Delicious burgers and fries. Also has breakfast, and many are open 24 hours.

Whataburger is amazing. It’s one of the best fast food burgers AND consistently rated the healthiest. And it’s pronounced WATTABURGER NOT what a burger.

no fast food chain burger could come close to the top ten of the burgers I have tried. I know you can get some fancy burgers for 15-20 bucks at some restaurants, but this may be the best $10 burger & fries I have ever had. At a little hole in the wall place somewhere north of Zion National Park in Utah, I hate I didn't get a picture of the place...just the burger!...

Slim Chickens is what we really need.
Started in Arkansas. They are expanding. Couple locations in Charlotte right now.
Really good stuff.

Some of those Chicken finger chains are one in the same to me. Zaxby's, Guthries, Canes, Huey Maggos.
SuperChix just opened in Boiling Springs in the Publix shopping center and that was off the chain when I ate there two weeks ago.
