I'm old enough to remember when 60 minutes was a legitimate news show. Sounds like the kooks who destroyed it are upset the people signing their paychecks want it to return to its glory days. Imagine that.

The “Fake news media” meme has become so ingrained in the MAGA right, I don’t know if that bell can ever be un-wrung. It’s just such an asinine position to take that the WSJ, NYT, 60 minutes newsroom, are unreliable, and that real accuracy comes from random blogs or unsourced tweets, that I don’t understand how anyone could ascribe to it short of having their head up their backside.

Well....that is true that they have a bias, but they do report honestly generally speaking and it's not some Fox News junk or something like that. 60 minutes is legitimate.

Your interpretation of this news is completely backwards. The producer of 60 minutes resigned in protest of corporate editorializing of stories that might negatively impact Viacom’s ability to garner FCC approval for an acquisition. Corporate ownership of media is having a negative impact on independent journalism, and we have already seen examples of this, from Disney for example over the Stephanopoulis defamation suit.
60 minutes is the flagship hard news program in this country, and anyone who cares about free media and free press should be alarmed by this news.
