Venison heart is the best part of the animal. Bar non hands down. Most won’t get over the thought of eating it but man is it tasty.

Peeled raw potatoes with salt 😳. My mom ate them when she was pregnant with me because she was sick all the time. Apparently they made her feel better! I’ve always liked them too.

Pickle sandwiches. Dukes mayo, Mt Olive Bread & Butter Pickles, and fresh bread.
The Mt. Olive pickles replaced those we used to make when I was a kid. Must have put up 60-75 jars every summer.

I like any kind of liver... beef liver and onions, fried chicken livers, boiled chicken livers, liver mush, liver pudding, liver nips, I think that's about it...

I love some chicken livers. I’m banned from cooking them in the house. It’s all about what we grew up eating tbh. Fatty duck liver is tasty as well.

My grandpa, a Clemson military man, taught me about this snack as a kid. Peanut butter, sugar, and vinegar. Spread that on some crackers…chefs kiss!
Fast forward to my 20’s, drink of choice tequila and pickle juice. Cured hangovers

I consider everything I eat normal, sushi, anchovies, blah blah blah. I haven't tried cow's balls or beef tongue. I don't eat bugs. I eat all of the normal foods. I don't have anything I can't eat that is even somewhat typical.

Unless it's our special family version - creamy, rich, and excellent - most mac and cheese out there is fairly bland and on the dry side. A side of gravy makes just about every serving a home run.

I dare you to try mine.
1. 6 eggs
2. Most of a pound of elbow noodles cooked
3. All the medium to sharp cheddar you want grated pound to one and half pound
4. Heavy cream
5. Not much salt---cheese is salty
6. Black pepper a good bit
Mix all the above together, place in a well greased dish, bake at 350 until set and somewhat browned on top.
