What really happened with lyn j dixon

Heard he got a DUI over the summer and the tipping point was this past week when lyn j told pace that the coaches said he was starting but pace was the real starter. The coaches got extremely mad and said he’d never see the field again

I checked out Pickens county judicial index. We got a traffic ticket for speeding. Which could have been a dui that got reduced with a good lawyer and influence.

Actually, this is same story I’ve heard. The part about LJ telling Pace he wasn’t starting is why Dabo said LJ wasn’t being a good teammate. LJ took it upon himself to insert himself in the game. Call me whatever you want but I’ve got 2 degrees from Clemson so I’m not a coot.

It was actually just him having a Chad Kelly moment (much milder though), he blew up on CJ and Dabo when he wasn’t named the started for the UGA game, no DUI, no misleading Pace, just a frustrated kid who let his emotions get the best of him. After the incident he just had a hard time earning it back and kept the same attitude.

That all makes sense … but the question I have is why did Pace beat him out??? Pass blocking? Hitting the hole harder? More reliable in assignments? Was Pace just better or was there something LJ wasn’t doing???

The DUI thing is indeed a rumor. I don’t think the insubordination towards the coaches is a rumor at all. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t LJ “start” the SC State game. Again, I was told by a reliable source that he essentially put himself in right at game time and the coaches were blindsided. I’m not saying this to disparage him, he just made a bad choice. But he was already in the “love shack” for some reason. I think Pace beat him out for whatever causes the love shack issue.

and goes where he's "supposed" to go, he likely would have gotten the nod over LJD if all else were equal.
OL concerns notwithstanding, 23 tries to bounce everything outside which can turn a 3 yard gain into a 10 yard gain or a 3 yard gain into a 5 yard loss.
