What makes the loss even worse is

Nov 27, 2022, 11:30 AM

A couple of losses happened that were in Clemson's favor. In addition I think the odds predict at least one of the four teams in the top 4 of the CFP will lose their respective Championship game. However if GA loses they're not dropping out of the top 4.

If Clemson wins against SC even it it's a last second field goal I think we move up to 6th spot, maybe 7th. We would have a good argument against Alabama that we beat a SC team that is hot and just whipped the #5 team in the country. Bama only wins against a lowly Auburn. And of course we jump LSU because of their loss to a middling Texas A&M that is on the decline. LSU shouldn't have been ahead of Clemson to begin with.

Ohio State loses to Michigan. They probably drop to #5. But they don't have a Championship game to play in to boost their ratings. If Clemson wins against UNC in the ACC championship game they would jump Alabama for sure then if not before and jump Ohio State as well.

So all Clemson would have needed is for USC to lose to Utah. Michigan to lose to Purdue or TCU to lose to Kansas State. Bam! Clemson sneaks in at #4.

But we lost to an inferior team Saturday because of yet again very poor QB play and 3 costly turnovers. two fumbles. One interception by DJ. Who also had another pick 6 dropped right in the hands of the USC defender.

Yup. QB play snake bit us yet again this year. But honestly this team is offensively challenged outside of just QB, although QB change would help tremendously, we still have Big Boy Street in the booth being a lunatic. So regardless we would still be handcuffed to some degree. Also WR depth leaves far too much to be desired. It's A. Williams and a bunch of average joes.

Lots of changes NEED to be made this offseason. Heads need to roll and get some competent coaches in the program again.

A loss to S.Carolina in football is agonizing. But if there

is any immediate positive that I see coming out of it is that it prevents this team from having any shot at being in the playoffs. This team would be beaten savagely in the playoffs.

The list of thinks which made this a bad loss is...

infinite. There's nothing good about it. The thought that DJ won't start the next two games and get 98% of the time clock on the field is nonsense. Expecting a change is nonsense.

Jesus Christ, dude, you WANT this team in the playoffs? I'd much rather them have a decent bowl victory like last year so I can add another program to my collection, than have them boat raced on national TV and have the C word thrown in our faces again. I was thankful last year we were not in the playoffs. Nothing has been the same since LSU, nothing. Until we are back at that level, I'm going to see the silver linings where they are and not be delusional in my wishes.
