Redemption for both Clemson and Coach Riley after losing to Georgia in Charlotte and Coach Riley getting humiliated by Kirby Smart defense in the playoffs two years ago

Honestly...nothing is at stake. Our guys should be playing loose and free.
The outcome of this game will have ZERO impact on the road to the ACCCG and the CFP.
Team goal number 1 every year is win the opener. That should be the focus. Not win back the medias respect, not make a statement that Clemson is back, not any of that arbitrary crap. Win the opener.

This is the correct answer for the team themselves...

for the program and fans I would say; respect, hope for the future and that the way we go about things can work. To know we've fixed (hopefully) the offense after the last three years of being inept would be a huge boost for the fans IMHO.

Riley does want revenge after the UGA beat down of TCU but I hope it doesn't make him too opportunistic in his play calls. We need to establish the run or it will be a long night. Slow the game down, give our defense time to rest, and take the pressure off Cade.

Right. Do exactly what GA tech did to FSU. Make our field goals and score in the redzone and if we happened to fumble you better get back on that ball quick.

I think its fair to say there is a bad taste in his mouth when it comes to UGA. He was humiliated by UGA in the biggest moment of his career thus far. Riley is human, you know in the back of his mind he wants to redeem that.

As far as football goes, it is the first game and that is it. We can make the Playoffs with a loss to Georgia but we cannot with a loss and not winning the ACC. The conference is what counts.

Injuries! The game really doesn’t matter but significant injuries could ruin the rest of the season.

There is really not much on the line for Clemson in this game. If we win, it's a huge upset. If we lose, it was expected. It really doesn't have any impact on our chances to win the ACC which is what I think the main goal for this team should be
The pressure is on UGA
