Well it’s never been a huge lead if you’ve been reading TigerPaw’s posts was a 3 way race then it came down to us and UNCheat when Ga failed to deliver the McDonalds bag. Appears according to “insiders” he is going to pick the Tarholes.

I don't know who Clemson has on their DT board but it's very rare that Clemson doesn't move on. With that said I think Clemson will still stay in this kids ear bc you never know what the season holds for a UNC that lost a lot and who is not deeply talented. Also it is well known that UNC and Mack have tried and used Clemson depth against them at DT with Shaw. Keep in mind that Peyton Page was a former top 10 recruit before they dropped him because Page got a little fat and happy.. A healthy fit Page is a no doubter top 10 recruit. I know that doesn't help with Shaw but you knew when UNC lost out on Lukas and Everette that they were going to throw everything at Shaw.

If you haven't followed UNC recruiting the last 2 years then you're probably not aware that Mack has filled the DL with 4* and 5* studs so there will be "depth" issues on the DL regardless of which school he chooses. Plus, he's a top 5 recruit so I have a hard time believing he won't find the field very early in his career.
Everyone here has nailed it: Momma was the tiebreaker. She loves her some Mack and is a Heels fan.

IF he does pick UNC and the old man trying to be cool, I would look for a significant NIL to follow. Just my opinion. Not saying we should get every recruit, just reading some tea leaves.
Maybe he ends up picking the good guys after all.

His development at UNC will include becoming quite proficient at splitting double teams and world class conditioning.
They’ve got some young end talent, especially if Murphy works out kicking inside, but he’s going to be playing a whole lot of snaps and getting mucho attention.
