No. The playoff teams will all stay in the Top 4. After Tennessee loses they will get credit for losing to a conference champion and we will be penalized for playing them without Hooker and fall out of the Top 10 to be replaced by FSU.

If Ohio State and TCU lose, then they each have two losses and no conference titles. Hence, theoretically, we could land at 3, which would be helped, as PetesPonies says, by a stellar performance by Cade, our offense and defense.

If the first two rounds are blowouts the losers might drop to 4th and 5th. Cade stepping in, and up, in the CCG might be viewed as a fluke but after we stomp a mudwhole out of UT's agnus the committee might see the change did wonders and give us some respect.
If all the PO games are close a 5 ranking is about all we can hope for.

7 in cfp, but only 10 and 11 in Ap and coaches. There will be no other cfp poll, so the final ranking is based on either AP OR Coaches. If we beat Tennessee, I can see up ranked as high as 6 or as low as 9 or 10, depending on how teams ahead of us or just behind us do.

Don't know why beating TN without its QB would vault us up in the rankings. Obviously what happens with the teams ahead of us has an impact also but I'd say we move up a spot or two at the most.

Both Tenn and CU will be playing their backup QB. Even though ours is better. I say a win over Tenn puts us at 4 or 5. Depends on what happens to the present top 5 in bowls.

moving up from 10th in AP and 11th in coaches.
1) We won't jump any of the CFP teams
2) We very likely won't jump any teams ahead of us that win
Penn St and Utah are both ranked ahead of us in both polls and play each other.
KSU and Bama are both ranked ahead of us in the coaches poll and play each other.
So I believe the highest we are likely to finish is 6th in the AP and 7th in the coaches. And it might be lower depending on other results.

Not real sure. Just get the win! Seriously though I’m guessing it would all depend on how the top 4 end up as far as the score differential. If they all play close games I’m guessing they all remain the same. If 5,6, and 7 win it could possibly go unchanged. Still can’t figure out the love fest with OSU. Really have started to despise them. Not a fan of either but will be a Michigan fan when they play head to head.

I think we could rise to 4th if OSU or TCU get walloped. I am hoping that our victory over Tenn would help us jump Bama who has got K-State.
