Plyer got this from a coach who knew it would published and would hopefully be motivation. Pure coach speak. If they truly "lacked talent" then we wouldn't be a top ten or 25 team.

..or, Clemson just don't play many talented teams and when they do they get exposed. Seriously, the last time Clemson played what most would considered 'explosive', they got mauled and gave up 70 points.

Yeah.
Because we all know how great Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Vanderbilt...they're offensive juggernauts.
The only decent offensive team you faced all season butt raped you.
Take your crap somewhere else. No one wants to hear your mouthbreathing here.

Um, we have beaten you by an average of 20 points three years running. You should re-think you arguments. They are lame.

You should rethink why you're spending your morning on a Clemson message board.
THAT's what is lame.
You're the one who brought up nonsense about offenses.
Now, go away little boy.

It is not "nonsense". There is a direct correlation between the two. You defense is bad, period. If you played better offenses, it would be exposed. Your offense is not as good as it looks either because you don't play many good defenses either. Just the facts, but fantasy land is nicer I know.

Cootcocks look horrible this year. Struggled against a weak Vandy. Their real schedule starts this week.

Yes, we have a "real" schedule. FSU and MAYBE GT aside, who the heck does Clemson play in conference? Exactly, nobody as usual. Pad those stats and pad your confidence. You will need it the last game of the year.

Shows how meaningless recruiting rankings are. We need

to develop these kids once they get here. The LB at Tenn(AJ) wasn't any more highly recruited than Anthony and Steward yet he is light years ahead of them at this point.

well in fairness these kids spent a year w Steele. He wasn't exactly a great developer of linebacker talent.
Steward was hurt most of that and Anthony is coming along fine

Experienced depth is a real concern - no question about
Sep 17, 2012, 11:36 AM
|

that. As far as talent goes, I think we are lacking in certain areas there as well. I know we are young and I know we have played a very basic, vanilla defnse so far, but that doesn't explain the same mistakes and problems being repeated game after game - many carrying over from last year.

we're lined up than just playing.
hopefully the light will come on soon for those guys and they'll flow to the ball.
it's painful to watch this defense right now. it's rigid and uptight.

if we have "TALENT" i'd like to see more QB pressures/Sacks and not so many WRs/TEs running wide open down the field.
