What Dabo Said on Staff Changes

I think we need to understand that Dabo is not going to go into a press conference and dog on his staff and speak about the changes he needs to make. Maybe I’ll stand corrected, but I’m rather certain that there will be changes. Either way Dabo is not going to talk down on his staff like that in a press conference.

Because a good boss doesn’t belittle or berate his staff in public, he chews them out in private and if they don’t learn he gets rid of them … in private.
I can’t recall the last time he did it, if ever.

I guess Saban was not a good boss. He sure let his coordinators catch his wrath in public.

Doesn’t mean it was the right way or always worked. Being disrespectful, usually gets you worse employees not better. Saban could get away with it because he was “Nick Saban” no one else is. If you expect Dabo to act like Saban, anytime soon or ever, you will be waiting a very long time.

Wes isn't purposely sucking at his job and doesn't deserve to be called out publicly. But he still sucks and hopefully, Dabo isn't blind to that fact.

I've only ever seen Dabo talk down one individual player/coach in a post game interview ever and that would be Cade.

He seemed a bit ambiguous in his answer. I guess we will find out soon enough.

My honest opinion is either Dabo fires both Riley and Wes or he fires neither
The offense has been anemic for years. A couple games this season have been pretty decent but we were beating up on really bad teams. Wes coached a much better defense last season. This season has been pretty bad, especially run defense
Both coordinators have shown themselves to be subpar

I think Riley bought another year tonight, especially if a lot of the players return.
Goodwin, I am not so sure based on Dani’s halftime comments and the fact nothing really changed defensive wise in the second half.

Yes, Dabo will meet with his staff back home first.. to talk about staff changes after a loss would seem to point the blame to said staff and Dabo would never do that. Dabo moved on from Streeter when the offense was not nearly as bad as the defense has looked this year. I mean heck, Streeter won 10 games with DJ and got replaced.

Yeah Dabo has never been one to dog his staff publicly. He will make changes - if he is going to make them - behind closed doors, quietly, and with some dignity.
I truly hope he has a short list of DC candidates already with feelers out.

You are correct. No one saw the firing of Brandon Streeter coming. Dabo was always defending his staff and the offensive play calling. That is commendable. And if he is entertaining it, we will not know until it happens.
