Yep. Thug mentality was already there. They will need to build bigger jails.

I spent 4 years there in grad school in the late 70’s and attended many games as a college football fan and neutral observer. It was a drunken cesspool then. Didn’t dare wear any orange or I’d get pelted with bottles from the railroad tracks and harassed.

I bet it will make grown men and women bark like dogs at opposing fans . Wait , are you sure they have not been selling beer for years ?

Good gosh, that's like adding jet fuel to the fire for that debauchery filled cesspool.
How could this plan possible go awry?

I bring hard liquor into the valley all of the time. My dad does too. He fills a clear belt flask of Jim Beam and tucks it in his pants. We exit our seats to get a soda and go to the bathroom to “mix” our drinks up lol.

So none of yall bring anything into the valley on Saturday before a game? Guess y’all are all old heads now?
For the FSU game this past season I had a plastic flask of Makers Mark in my boot.

stimulation prior to entry - and I like to be aware of what's happening on the field.
But I do admit to being old (HEAD TO TOE - NOT JUST AN OLD HEAD).

I just can’t drink really fast. I’ll drink 1-3 drinks before the game and start to get a buzz but I hate when it wears off in the stadium. I like to keep a consistent buzz going throughout the game.

Many schools already sell beer in their stadium. Was at the Clemson Carolina game in November and they were selling tall boy beers, white claws, wine, and wine slushes. I don’t think it’s really as bad as you’d think if we had it in the valley.

I was there and also noticed it. My problem was I had 2 drunk coots shouting at me until the 4th quarter. With that fanbase Its a mistake.

What you can get in the stadium isn't really going to make a difference. It's how much you have before you get in the stadium.

It’s ridiculous to sell beer at what is supposed to be a family friendly event on a college campus. And I would have respected the guy in the interview if he would have had the balls to just say “it’s another way to generate even more money”! We’re at a period in time in which men have less decency and manners in public than ever before. Getting immature 25 or 40 year olds even more intoxicated is annoying for those who either don’t drink or know how to act when they do. I enjoy a drink as much as anyone but having mouthy drunks either peeing every 10 minutes or cussing like a sailor in front of women and children isn’t my idea of a family friendly event .
Hopefully Clemson doesn’t follow , especially at a time when it’s more and more tempting to stay home and watch the game on a 60 inch tv and not fight parking and traffic.
Not to mention this move is being made a short time after one of their staff members murdered a UGA athlete involving alcohol . There are some decent UGA fans , but that place is about as far away from what I want Clemson to be as humanly possible

I've attended games at Clemson where many people brought in coolers full of beer.
