Requesting scheduling changes for a non-conference game in the first place?

LOL> Newsflash: Like fools we signed over our broadcast rights to them until 2036. Kinda makes it their business.

Makes sense of course. I really never thought about the ACC caring about a non conference game. If the ACC acts in the “best interest” of its members (😂) and the only interested member in this game is Clemson, I don’t see how that leaves any room for the ACC to be “disappointed”.

Seriously? Why is this even a question.

Requesting is fine. Mandating is not. Financial interest is driving request.***

ACC makes a lot more money on a Primetime game than they do with a Noon game on the CW channel. I can't believe the ACC even has games on there.

The CW is a sublicense after Bally acquired the Fox Sports channels

Jul 3, 2024, 1:13 PM

Ballys regional networks went BK. The games that are on the CW have a far greater reach than they did vs the regional network they were originally destined for(Fox Sports South etc.) CW availability to the U.S. pop is greater than any other network. It was better than where those games were before. The broadcast presentation was better as well. It’s no different than TBS having NCAAT rights like they have for years. They have 3x the games CBS does. I’m shocked TBS hasn’t thrown their hat in the CFB ring for conf alignment. They have at least 3 national network channels. They did get some sub licensing for CFP games from ESPN. I imagine they will be bidding for various conference rights as the next set expires in the future.
