I'm sure you read that somewhere, but I would have to disagree. I'm not trying to take anything from Cade bc I've always thought that he could be a really good college QB from the way that he played in HS. But I really don't think that Cade has proved his potential as proven college level QB to this point in his Clemson career, and he really needs to come back and prove that he has what it takes to be an A/B+ type college QB bc IMO he still hasn't proven to himself that he is a top college QB bc of his inconsistency with so many under and over thrown balls.

I think right now if he put his name in the hat for the NFL draft, I can't see him being drafted simply bc he hasn't proven he can be a consistent college level QB, and the pressure that he would face as an NFL QB would more than triple the pressure that he hasn't concord at the college level just yet.

I do believe that if Cade comes back for another season at Clemson with becoming another year older, I think that he will become a lot more mature than he is now and with more maturity should help him actually see what he needs to do to become a more settled QB bc right now he isn't seeing the field well enough before he makes his decision where he should go with the ball. But the more that he matures those things will start to come to him naturally that will help him knock a second or two off the time it takes him to make sound decisions before he lets go of the ball. Bc of the quality of the teams that faces in the ACC is the only reason he don't have the INTs that he surely would have if he was playing against teams with a lot better talent. So yes, he needs another season if only to have the chance to mature more at the position he he has chosen to play, they call the QB the leader of the team for a reason, they lead the team and Cade just needs to mature a little more before he takes that job on at a higher level. That's just my opinion after many years of the offensive side of the ball being my favorite part of FB and watching how the better QBs do their job...

Another season for Cade will mean that he will play behind a much better more mature OL with some really good, seasoned receivers as he's had at any time as the QB at Clemson, and with that Cade's game will show huge improvements if he comes back for another season as our QB...

If Vizzina transfers bc Cade would be coming back, I think that would be the biggest mistake he would have made since the day he decided to be a FB QB. If Cade comes back and I believe that he will, Vizzina would be getting 99.99% of all the backup playing time that would give him more time to prepare for the starting job than any of our last 3 QBs has had and with Vizzina he would be as ready stepping into the starting job as most seasoned QBs would have.

IMHO, Vizzina going into the transfer portal could be a sure ticket for his long term dreams of playing in the NFL could most likely end bc most of the teams that's on the same level as Clemson will either have their starter coming back, or they will have a backup that has been being groomed to take the starting job prior, and Vizzina would be almost like an unknown coming to a new team and new system.

Huge mistake if he entered the portal unless there has already been a pretty good D-1 team after him behind closed doors. I mean I don't think there is a time limit you have to be gone from the portal and if there isn't, he could be in there no telling for how long that he would be losing team like conditioning.

If Cade comes back, I really don't see Vizzina going into the transfer portal with all he would have to look forward to after about 6 more months and the starting job at Clemson would be his unless we got so lucky to bring in another DW4 or TL16 type of true freshman QB...
