What are Riley’s expectations?

3 year contract. But it’s a mystery whether he’ll eventually leave for a HC position.
To know whether he’ll end up leaving sooner than later, we need to know expectations of him. Do we expect 1 national championship? Or simply for him to have our offense top-10 each year he is year.
I believe if he shows immediate resurgence and we dominate once again, he’ll get snatched inevitability. But if it takes some time to rebuild the scheme, then he could be here for a bit. What do y’all think?

I want him to leave to become a HC. That means he will be riding on a wave of success at Clemson.

I think that with him working with the type of talent that we have/get at Clemson, his future at Clemson will be short lived but, I don't believe that he will accept just any power 5 job just to be the HC. He won't be in a rush to take a Head coaching position, he will wait for the right job for him to come open before he will be wearing the HC label, and I feel sure of that....

Yes, but don't think Dabo and the rest of the offensive staff isn't taking notes on how to run his offense. Richardson already ran this type of Hal Mummy Air raid in HS so he should be able to pick up the nuances in a year even if Riley bolts after this year.

We know. Richardson reminds us every time he speaks.

I think Clemson should have a top 15 offense this year, maybe better. If I had to bet on it I would say 2 years.

I know that it's unlikely but, if he was to get us to playoffs in his 1st season at Clemson and win the Natty, he would have a HC job at a big time FB school before the trophy got back to Clemson!!!

If he gets snatched away, I suspect Dabo will have a contingency plan laid out in his notebook as I suspect he does with all reasonably foreseeable occurrences. Dabo is not a "wait and see" kinda guy... and I like it.

I expect Clemson to become a one of the most explosive offenses in the country! Somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-12 in the country.
We should have a recruiting advantage over the majority of our schedule. In recent years; it hasn't been allowed to manifest itself on the field. Paralysis by over analysis "may have sunk in" by many because we wanted to "have the answer for the defense"! But, if everybody didn't get it and understand what they are seeing, it just doesn't work. If you are repping a thousand players; it likely doesn't work as well. You need the same kids repping it so often "it becomes 2nd nature even with good defense"!
