The offensive and defensive numbers don't lie my man. We were not in the top 25 in scoring offense or defense. Let that sink in for a minute. We have two to 3 future first round defensive players, play in the ACC and we are not in the top 25 in scoring defense. That should tell you something right there.

While disappointing to read those stats, I don't think there is anything shocking there. Everyone knows we are not where we were. There should be at least 2 teams on our regular season schedule next year who will be preseason top 10 (FSU, ND). They're not SEC schools but wins over those schools would elevate us again in the national conversation. On the other hand, losing 1 or both probably reinforces the narrative we are slipping and hurts recruiting.

He also forgot we beat ND twice during that time. Is there any other team that has ever had a run like that against Bama, GA, Ocry0 St and ND? Honestly I’m not sure how anyone could have expected that type of unprecedented success against those teams to continue. It was a historic run. Unfortunately historic runs by definition don’t continue for forever.

Not a great team this year, but a great program that is considered a blue blood by most. The OP was referring to 2013- 2019 not this year. OK was worse than ND this year IMO and they were included in the initial comment.
