I don't like the way this generation of athletes run their mouths, but I'm just an old guy who doesn't understand. I don't like it when they do it on the field. I sure don't like it when they do it in the media.
I don't like the way it has become common place for a pitcher to celebrate every time he gets a K. I don't like the way they shout out a couple of F-bombs walking from the mound to the dugout. I don't like the way a batter has his celebration dance every time he hits a double. I don't like the way a batter stares down the pitcher after a walk, and heaven forbid how he acts on the way to first base after a home run.
I grew up in the era of "Just shut up and play!"

Listening to an FSU radio talk show as I type this.
It got even worse. I don't mind a QB being confident. But, the verbal expression of that confidence should be limited to the locker room.
I won't bother to give you more quotes, just suffice it to say the one in this thread was not the most inappropriate for a media interview.
