He ran down the hill as a senior today so my guess is he is gone.

Why leave? Is he going to be drafted? Would he really transfer after all he has been through at Clemson? He is still getting a great opportunity on the field even if he and Mafah are sharing the carries.

I'd guess he got a 3rd or 4th round draft grade despite what the "experts" on Tnet believe Shipley is a great player.

LMAO, if you think Shipley will be drafted you don't know much about football. He's very small, not fast, and has shown he has an attitude toward his coaches this year. He would be lucky to sign to a practice squad.

I could see him calling it quits as far as college FB is concerned.
That concussion against NC State, and the accidental head shot against GA Tech (I looked at the replay; the defender got pushed into Shipley) apparently really concerned him.
I could seem him leaving to give the NFL a shot. If he gets cut or he doesn’t like spending time on a NFL practice squad, then I could see him just saying adios to FB p.
Shipley has been reported to be a great student who has graduated in a major that gives him excellent earnings potential and a long career.
. It would make sense for him to not want to suffer brain damage from more head shots, especially if he isn’t being handsomely compensated for the risk of enduring those head shots.

He said in his post game interview that he doesn’t know what he will do but he didn’t want for him and his parents to miss out on the opportunity to be honored on senior day. Rambled on something about his handlers. I think he will move on.

He must have a big check waiting on him on the other side of the transfer portal.

Maybe after the shots to the head and the little injuries here and there, he's figuring he doesn't have that much football left in him. If he can get drafted anywhere, make a training camp and get a little money, he's going to go for it. I don't blame him. 2024 might be a better season, but it could also prevent him from getting a shot at the league, something that only .0029% of high school football players ever do.
