always got off to fast starts and all these great 40 win teams who would just fold at Omaha.
Monte understands the importance of not showing all of your cards, but finishing strong. Look at his first year as coach at Clemson... ACC Champs sort of out of nowhere.
I can tell you one thing... Nobody is going to be excited to play against Clemson come June.

It was great to see our Tigers play well last weekend and this.
But baseball is a game of streaks and match-ups. We were on a streak the last two weekends and the match-ups were good.
Does that mean we're ready for the tournament and Omaha? Check yourself. We've played well for two weeks. But we didn't just lose the last USC-Upstate game, we were soundly beaten. If the boys can hold serve on Wednesday and play well in Atlanta, we'll know that we're in more than just a streak.
Everyone hopes they continue to see the ball and hit and field well, but proof is in the pudding.
We'll see.
