Well, just as it did the morning after our most recent

Orange Bowl loss, the sun still came up this morning after we missed out on the NCAA Basketball Tournament yet again.
Since we are participating in the NIT, I must assume the team voted to play in it. As a No. 1 seed, at least we will get to play our games at home, as far as we advance, all the way to the semifinals, which will be played in Renfrowville (Lost Vegas).
I apologize to our Men's Basketball players on behalf of Clemson University. I believe you had enough talent to be in the NCAA Tournament right now. Had you had a more competent coach leading you, we would be having a far different conversation this am, about how to win a 1st round game in the only MEANINGFUL post season basketball tournament these days.
I have not given up on you, and will be rooting for you from my recliner on March 15. I also hope Clemson University has not given up on you, and will be searching behind the scenes for a new coach to lead you forward once this season concludes officially. Here's hoping that is not for several games yet.

If you narrative is correct, a vote by the players would reflect their desire to have a new coach. My guess is they would not vote for a change and most would leave the program is a change was announced.

They should vote for a new Athletic Department and new fans.... The Athletic Department is not interested enough in basketball to go through the trouble of seat assignments for hosting a NIT game (general admission) and apparently fans are interested enough to come watch.(based on the AthleticDepartments thinking) If the teams voted to play it means they want to play - the AD should then want to work their hardest and the fans should be doing fan stuff and show up. I have my four $15 GA tickets. An over/under on total ticket sells?
