when I came too in the recovery room, the nurse asked me if I knew who the lady was on my left. I said," thassss mah girlfriend"....Boys, y'all should have seen Mrs. Spud's face!
Some of you sent prayers my way I want to thank all of you for that. They were and are apprecitated.

It’s amazing what one might say after waking up from being put to sleep. I remember after my first back surgery waking up and the nurse asked me how I felt. On a scale of 1 to 10, she was at least an 11. I looked up and said “ oh God, I have died and gone to heaven.” She quickly turned and walked away.
Tell Mrs. Spud I said hello!

After one of my knee replacements a male nurse came into the recovery room and asked me,"Where are you?". I said, " In Bed!". He didn't have a very good sense of humor.

Glad to hear it went well. The steps at Wren HS are probably missing you too.
I had a colonoscopy last summer and when they were taking me back to the room after I woke up they asked me if I knew which room I was in and I said “the one with the pretty lady in it”. My wife just rolled her eyes as usual.

My dad lived without his thyroid for 62 years so apparently they are highly overrated.

Sorry to hear about thyroid, you will be on synthroid rest of your life. It is manageable as mine died from radiation and chemo treatments. The worst part is I never had migraines but do several times a year but due to my thyroid my body regulates temperature very poorly. I am hot and sweat 80% of the time and when its really hot I am miserable. Hopefully you have better reaction to meds than I do. Usually I have to self regulate meds within reason. When my wrists start aching then I am getting too low on TSH but when I get headaches and sometimes heart palpitations, then I have to skip a day or two in a week. Maybe with thyroid removed they can keep you even, i still have a tiny piece active and I think its better sometimes than others therefore the swings.

Spud, I had my thyroid removed 15 years ago. I have been on synthroid ever since and have had absolutely no problems. Hopefully, you will not need medication, but if you do, it is not bad at all. I wish you well. Take care!
