Let’s check-in after week 5…
So far they’ve done enough to win but don’t look like they’re out scheming folks to put our guys in positions to be successful. Seems like we are relying on our superior talent. Now, Streeter made it clear in his interview that they’ve tried not to show all of our cards just yet. In that light, let’s see how the next couple of weeks play out when we can’t just show up and win because our rosters are superior.

Is that an answer or is it a question?

I can see the difference in the D and winning doesn't change that.

I hope the story is we have only shown half of the O and D playbooks.

Gosh I hope so. It seemed like every time we were faced with a 3rd and long on defense we would line up in a 3-3-5 and run the same play, leaving the out route open for the first down. It was driving me crazy

But the upside is there is so much room for improvement. Also the defensive coordinator is new at this thus has a lot of potential upside that remains unseen. The offensive coordinator not so much. That’s actually where I’m worried the most

I agree with the sentiment that it is too early to tell. My biggest concern is the play of the DB's thus far. I don't know if that is a product of scheme or poor performance and preparation to this point. There seems to be a lot of shuffling on defense so it might just be having an inconsistent line up while trying to get experience while we can.
On the offensive side, I am probably one of the few that is relatively happy. DJ seems to be playing much better passing and running. The biggest problem with the RBs is getting 3 studs enough time. I believe that the line is playing better each week and as odd as it may sound, I think Randall and Antonio Williams will solidify the WR group. I haven't liked the play calling at times, but we will see how things are called when we are in more competitive games.

Streeter gets a D-. I would give him an F, but he runs the same offense we’ve run for the last eight years, the only problem is he doesn’t have the same level of talent we used to have.

Dabo put together the least experienced offensive coaching staff in the ACC. this after a year in which the offense was one of the worst in the ACC and clearly needing a jolt and new leadership. It was a strange strategy
