It's called being a realist. Our team wasn't as good as the year before and would've been run off the court by both those teams. The pathetic ACC hid a lot of our flaws.

Clemson gets beat soundly against any in the final four. Tournament time is not the regular season. Good teams elevate their games and intensity. Glad we beat Duke this season but in the end I did not see that playing out again. Watched the first half and hats off to both teams. Love the way Houston plays defense but their shots from behind the arc, at least in the first half, were horrible.

did you not watch louisville bully us 2x with a physical game? we would have gotten blown out by both of these teams. Also both were well coached so we would have been at a huge disadvantage there for sure. The ACC proved just how weak it was in the postseason, we feasted on very poor teams, and had a false sense of how good we were.

Bottom line is that the ACC has become an inferior conference, at least in Football and Basketball.

Since 1979, 45 seasons, Kelvin Sampson has lost in the end of season tournament every time.
He has not won a national championship.
Is that the definition of a flawed career? I think not.
Few coaches will win the final game of their post seasons. Most of them have productive and successful careers. Or is it that perspective equals reality and that they’ll always be labeled as losers.

A lack of serviceable depth was our Achilles heel this season. We were too dependant on our top 6. They were worn out with 4 games to go in the regular season.
