UGA’s offense looked just as bad as ours. They can’t score so when they get in a shootout, they will lose. That team probably loses 2-3 SEC games which keeps us out of the playoffs.

This team isn't making the playoffs, the O-line is awful, DJU slow, too heavy, holds the ball way too long, can't get off his first read, zero mental toughness. Tony Elliot is horrible at adjustments, doesn't haveca real good feel for the game. This was a huge setback, Clemson is no longer elite IMO.

Yep. If we want to make the playoffs we either need to not schedule Games like these or we need to not crap the bed when we do. Half the team looked ready to compete, the othe half looked like a bunch of high schoolers who have never played college football.

The problem (outside of the team's issues) is that now if UGA plays Bama in the SECCG the committee will take UGA over Clemson even if they lose (unless 2-losses). Throw in OKLA and OSU and it could be tough for Clemson to get to a 7th straight CFP

1 loss acc champ is in, the seccg is a de facto playoff game just like the acccg.
I do think UGA will have a strong argument but still, might as well erase this game from memory. Zero offensive TD’s.
Main thing is to fix the errors.

I agree. Always hear that we're in the pathetic, weak ACC and we can't compete with the big boys. Two national titles in the last 4 years? Boy, are we lame in big games!

That ‘narrative’ the espin is trying to push is a joke.
Bottom line is that there is a ton of football left. Look at Oklahoma today. Or Ohio St. on Thursday. Think they are going to just roll through undefeated?
Have you seen UGA’s schedule? Look it up…they are set up to roll this year until the SECCG.
If we win out, it would take some pretty stellar, likely undefeated, effort from another team out there to keep us out. Like an Oklahoma or Oregon. But that seems unlikely.
I think the bigger question is whether we can actually win the rest of our games….there are teams on our schedule who play better offense than UGA does. I don’t think we would see another defense like that until January though.
Our defense will carry us and I’m sure the offense will catch on eventually.

And came back and won it all in 2020. I'm ok with going to a New Years Bowl or something (assuming our offense gets much better) We can regroup and make the playoffs next year.
But we might never get another chance to beat Georgia again. That's why this game hurts!
