and it's pretty good, much better than ANYTHING since 2021. Our OL is so much better with Matt Luke and will only continue to improve. Our WRs are worlds better than Beau, Frank and the rest of the paper mache crowd from the last two years. Mafah needs help, that's a given. Cade, albeit a head-scratcher at times, has heart and ability. Wish he wouldnt float the deep ball but he just doesnt have that kind of arm strength.

Defense, not great but solid. Wish we could get more pressure from the DL but maybe moving PWoods back inside will help. Not a fan of Capehart, same player he's always been, looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. LBs are good but we have zero quality depth behind Sammy - who has to play. Carter is inconsistent esp tackling. ATerrell is too small and just looks overmatched. JLukas - who knows, looks the part but 1/2 the time he looks lost. Hampton is a player and like Sammy needs to play. Mickens and Barnes solid, Venebles should be coaching and little quality depth at safety.

All that being said, they still seem to be lacking something and I just dont know what is? Maybe they need harder coaching? But, maybe they need more vocal leaders and leaders like Ben Bouleware, Christian Wilkins, DW4 - players who might not have been the most polished but who were DAWGS.

I do think we are close but we've got to find some more leaders. Oh and some more LBS for 2025, portal please!

Elite team. Dabo has to fix that and be willing to buy players whether they come out of HS or the portal. And he needs to hire better position coaches that those players aspire to be coached by so they get into the NFL! Until those dynamics are changed, we will be an OK team, but not an elite one again. Just the reality of the situation.

The elite teams have quality depth at almost every position to withstand the injuries that are bound to happen throughout the season. Not being able to replace players due to injuries is not an excuse!

TALENT!......that's what we're missing.

it's easy to spot........we're not rolling out the same type of NFL players that we were in the 2015-2019/20 era.

Agreed! NFL talent level is #1 metric to look at.***
