How bad has Clemson basketball become?

So bad I didn't realize the game was on until I checked TNet and don't want to watch even though we are playing number one because I am 100% confident there will be nothing but embarrassment. We have digressed every year with Brownwell and we have seen he can't recruit to an ACC standard of play. Do I ask to win national championships? NO. I do ask to at least compete for NCAA tournament bids every year though and that can defiantly be done. I also ask to have a team that I would want to watch play Duke tonight for the remote chance of an upset instead of a team I would be my life savings would lose this game.

and the years in the early 90s and 80s when we had confident coaches. I know those don't stay long at Clemson though. All I'm trying to say is I don't think Brownwell is the answer and I don't think we have to settle for a team like this that gets blown out by the likes of Coastal Carolina when we are in the ACC. Clemson has the ability to be a fringe NCAA tournament team every year and that's all I ask and we are headed further and further from that each year.

We did well under Ellis, but I'm not sure we want to start paying for players again.

They should have never let OP go. They did not show him the luv and he had us gaining ground in the ACC each year. To scare Duke and NC at there place only to lose by bogus calls or homecourt advantage. Time for a new coach on the sidelines real soon!!!! This is his year and he has laid a huge egg. The system he runs is not geared for the ACC.

Second, BB system is geared exactly for the ACC. Everyone who paid attention knew that this year and maybe next year would be tough years because of the change over in the program. Tonight's result shouldn't be a shock.
To not see where we are going and how close we are to being a very competitive program is dumbfounding. Let's see where we are in a couple of years.

Whats worse. Sucking something fierce for a couple of decades
or paying for some players, getting good, and going on probation.
I vote probation. Hell technically we have put ourselves on self imposed probation the way we recruit
