In short. Universities must give equal revenue sharing to both men and women student athletes. So if you give mens sports 10 million then the women get 10. There goes all your money.

I don’t think too many folks payed attention, but I have said all along the poop was going to hit the fan when women’s non revenue sports (that’s all of them) got involved with schools paying athletes. Part of the unintended consequences.
