I usually dont have the time to listen but wish I could listen more.
I did have a little time this morning and turned it to the station at 6:00 AM and for 8 minutes there was nothing but commercials. Is it like that all the time?
Mick finally started speaking at 6:10 AM So for 10 minutes there was nothing.

no legitimate Clemson-based station to compete.
What I don't understand is why they devote so much time to NBA talk? They have about 3 callers that always call in and dominate with NBA talk. And, it's the same story line over and over...about how LeBron can't win a big game.
I change stations unless they are talking Clemson sports. There are several options that are more appealing should I want to hear about the NBA or MLB.
I'm beginning to wonder is there isn't some sort of Clemson/WCCP connection similar to that at the ACC/Raycom situation where our ACC commissioner is giving contracts to his relatives.

You do realize we're in the middle of the NBA Playoffs right? If you can't realize that it is impossible to talk about Clemson sports for 13 hours a day, then i'm surprised you can even turn on your radio.

1) Too much rambling by announcers...
2) Weak signal, can barely get it on the eastside of Greenville.
3) Too many commercials, one after another...
I've switched to satelite, much more professional.

There is nothing better for your morning drive than Bill King on XM 91. He is very well informed, has great guests and the show is probably 80-85% college football. If you have Sirius/XM you need to give him a try.

You are so right.I notice this every morning and turn my radio to AM and listen to Mike and Mike on ESPN.Oh and after 6;08 Mikey talks about what Quck is wearing for 5 min. too.Very boring.

Yes, this is standard on all of the shows. The national shows like Mike and Mike do the same thing of having 6 - 8 minutes of commercials and score updates before the hosts actually join the show.
I know there is a lot of WCCP bashing on Tnet, and rightfully so for all of the technical difficulties they have, but if you are a Clemson fan, I can't imagine a radio station giving you more opportunity to talk and hear about Clemson sports.

beyond me. WCCP always was a little hick station. They tried to make it to the big-time in recent years by becoming a sport-talk station but they've failed at that.
They're back to being a little hick station.

so that Walt can then spend two minutes of what is technically supposed to be show time telling you about the clean bathrooms at the Palms. SEriously, the FCC has regs about how much of any hour can be commercial time, and if WCCP doesn't violate the spirit and the letter of those, it can only be through a miracle.
