That being said, everyone understands the portal's effect on college athletics. Don't need sophist's takes like "we think we can get better in the portal."
Nevermind that the need to go to the portal in the first place is directly attributed to the fact that so many left via the portal.
Unless you're suggesting CBB went to all those guys and politely encouraged them to hit the portal before he started bringing guys in to replace them.
In which case CBB's a Deion. And we see how that approach is working out for Deion.

I actually think that most people on here dont understand the portal's effect on college basketball considering many are acting like the sky is falling when 4 players transfer out.
I understand that a lot on this board don't pay attention to our roster, so it may have been surprising that we were a veteran led group. Some on here thought myles foster had another year of eligibility. We went into the year knowing we were going to have to replace 4 starters and some depth. Our coaches were also aware of this, believe it or not.
All we know at this point is that we need to improve our team a lot in the portal. Luckily brownell has a good track record of doing that. Let's hope that trend continues. Nobody knows what the strategy is this offseason. We dont know how much brownell expects out of dallas thomas and ace buckner. We dont know which freshman brownell is going to depend upon. Is zac foster starter quality as a freshman? He is one of the highest rated recruits we have ever had.
The sky is not falling. Most of the departures were expected. Im not upset at any of the transfers aside from del jones and nobody on this board knows why he transferred.

I love that movie. That actress married the guy who played the dad as I recall. In retrospect Charlie SHeen may not have been acting in his scene. He may have showed up that way.
