Update on my eye situation....

First, thank you all for the many messages of support and help. Next Thursday, the 29th, I am meeting with an eye specialist in Greenville who was recommended to me from the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. They are going to re-examine all of my previous tests to determine my next steps and if injections will be needed.
Previously my doctor indicated I had about 12 months of eyesight left in my right eye and maybe 2-3 years remaining in my left eye. This second opinion I am going to receive is going to reexamine everything to try and make a determination if this is accurate or misleading and if injections will help at this point.
I am not going to lie; I am worried and nervous. For the past year my vision has become so cloudy that I cannot see without the complete use of lenses at all times.
Wish me luck, appointment is next Thursday at 0800.

Hate to hear this Tatted. Will be thinking about you and be sure to keep us updated.
I’m basically blind without my contacts but they have leveled out as I have gotten older. Pretty scary to think about news like that. Hopefully you will get some better news when you get a 2nd opinion.

Good luck TC. Proud of you for trusting your gut and getting a second opinion. Physicians receive far more training/education than nearly everyone on the internet but they are not without flaw or at times, their own biases. Best of luck on this second round of tests and recommended treatment.
