There seems to be a scheme problem. I thought CK through some nice balls. The issue is no identity, IMO. Outside of the first play, I thought Cade looked better and threw it well.
I don’t think we are as bad as the score was.
Plus— they’re elite. Very elite. It just got away from us.
We need to establish who we are on offense. I don’t think CK is the issue. I fully expect him to play well this year.

He is not a mobile QB...too small and fragile, D linemen swat him like a bug...thought he would grow a little...still looks like a high school kid in Austin...not good enough...didn't see any wideouts running great routes and looks like Mafah misses Shipley...D line was good O line better...did D line get tired...it belongs to the CEO!

I thought he looked a tad improved. He made some nice throws. He extended some plays. He had some drops. Obviously that 1 penalty in the 1st quarter hurt. That corner route in the end zone was a nice throw. AW was actually open. I don’t think he ever located the ball. Maybe the lights playing in a dome. He only got sacked twice so he was getting rid of the ball. That was definitely and improvement.

I agree, I thought Cade looked poised & he didn’t make any atrocious plays. He played the best game he could. Also thought the O-line looked really good. There was hardly any pressure on Cade all game. I think poor receiver play & poor play calling were a poisonous duo today

Unless one of these freshman receivers is great over the next few years, not a single player on that offense will play in the NFL You'd think there'd be at least 1 or 2

There is a scheme problem but Cade is still a huge issue
I defended the guy on this board all last year when people said he wasn't the right fit. I thought he would improve. He hasn't and we need to move on

Cade can’t throw downfield. Period. Therefore our offense operates in a very small space. Very easy to defend.

We were expected to get beat by 10+ points.
The game was 6-0 at half.
I thought Cade looked good against the #1 team in the nation.
Some of you morons forget when we played Joe Burro’s LSU… we had TL16 and a ton of beasts.

Cade cannot throw downfield.
Makes it pretty easy to play defense v Clemson.
DCoordinators are laughing at Clemson. And yes, it is Cade’s fault. And also our coaching staff’s fault for sticking with Cade this long.

1 and 12 need to be playing the field and boundary spots, not 8 and 22. If you’re going to have mistakes and drops in those spots, at least have the freshmen doing that instead the other guys.

Of course Cade is not the problem. However, he is certainly not the five-star kid that we thought he should be. At best he is an okay quarterback but he's not the star we were hoping for. There is no getting around that.
