There is an article in today's Post & Courier

(link:https://www.postandcourier.com/sports/cofc/college-of-charleston-ante-brzovic-ncaa-lawsuit/article_2dfe13f1-3fa4-41e9-adaa-6c4810b0fcce.html)

If he wins, this will probably start a trend of former football and basketball players to try to come back to a college team to get a cut of the NIL and revenue sharing by stating the NCAA illegally limited their playing time. Though we've known for a while it's no longer about getting a degree and preparing for life after sports at most schools, this will definitely kill any resemblance to "student athlete".

Thats ridiculous if you think Pro's should be able to come back and play. Its also absurd that players get anything over 5yrs to play 4. Anyone that thinks the term 'Student-Athlete' shouldn't come with some type of minimal learning requirements and school/class disciplines, these people are likely just fans and have zero formal ties to the college experience.

This is not a Pro circuit and there are not unlimited funds especially at mid-level D1 schools. At this point, these idiot judges and worthless NCAA have forgot that these are learning institutions that gave some gifted people every tool they needed to succeed in life with an education. It's not a place that should be in bidding wars for 18yr old HS kids.

Though with that thought, guess we will need to be ready for 40 year old players! Al Bundy can make his come back tour!

We can just mirror soccer hockey leagues and have it be U-23 football, that’ll fix this type of nonsense with redshirting and eligibility
