Under the radar FBall player this season

Who is the one guy you’re looking forward to watching play this season that is probably not getting the kind of attention guys like CK2, Wesco, Moore, Parker, Woods l, etc. are getting?
For me it is probably Christian Bentancur.
I think he has potential to be an incredibly valuable weapon on offense and could be one of the best TEs we’ve had come thru the program.

I was going to say the same. Bent has a chance to be special. I also can’t wait to see Sheff doing Gronk imitations.

Not sold on the idea of Scheff coming in and providing anything of value but would be more than happy to be wrong.
Bent on the other hand has all of the tools to be incredibly successful. Have the feeling he’ll be like Brinny just a bit more physical.

Bent isn't really under the radar though. He is expected to be completely in the mix. I can't think of anyone under the radar. I am going to go with Lawson. I bet he starts to turn it on in his 2nd string role.

I disagree.
I mean everyone knows about his upside but I feel like I’ve read more about Sapp & Patt-Henry name out of the TE room this off-season more than his.

Dabo just said he may be the best athlete in the team and was just praising him. I would be surprised if he didn't show out this season at times.

Not sure there is one guy for me. I do wonder mostly about the defensive side like which DL will emerge Mayo, Burley, Brown-Shuler, Thompson or who? Same with LB's and secondary. Offensively of course how good are our RB's, which 1 or 2 will shine? Will Jack Smith or any punter really step up to be the guy?

With the DL I could definitely someone turning it on as far as those names you named. I just can't imagine it much at LB though.

All the guys you mentioned, because if they do well our depth is back and it is going to be scary.

If Jay Haynes gets back to 100% before the season starts, I think he could be our premier running back

I can't see him being a contributor -- even in the best case -- until late in the season due to the rehab he's facing. Hope we don't rush him back.

A running back. Not sure yet which one which is why that’s my pick for under the radar. Maybe RB by committee, but with Luke building the O line and all the talk about Cade and our WRs, things could really open up for the running backs. The idea of gettting a good lead and running the ball effectively to run the clock and keep the ball away from the opponent sounds great to me.

I'm kinda interested in portal transfer DE Will Heldt from Purdue... with him being on a more talented DL , how it will help him be a better player and make Clemson's defense better overall..

Adam Randall is going to help set up so many explosive plays for our offense as a rb that can run routes, be a decoy and has a way to get in the open field. He might even play TE on some formations like the kid from SMU last year!
Should be fun to find out!
We get a new truck if we pick the right guy, didn’t Renfrow have a little brother?

Feels like a make or break year for Burley, considering what was expected of him and how disappointed Dabo has been with his lack of availability.

Hopefully he'll get some valuable playing time/experience and prove himself ready to be the man next season! Couple of brand new QB's coming in next year to compete for that job!!

If we’re seeing a bunch of CV that means Clemson is winning games by a lot and I’m here for that scenario lol.

Nobody is really talking about Capehart on the DL. He flashed last year and if he stays healthy I expect him to be a more consistent force on the line. This is his money year.

I know it won’t happen because of Capeharts seniority, but it wouldn’t be a shocker to see him lose snaps as the season goes.
Especially if Vic Burley finally lives up to expectations. I anticipate Amare Adams maybe working his way into the starting DL group by seasons end.

love to see Alexander play up to his potential and we could be pretty solid at LB. With McCloud, Anderson and Crayton getting some solid time and being able to rotate Sammy and Wade a good bit without much drop off. If that happens, we could be in for a special season.
