That makes sense for sure. In the remainder of your short career, I hope you will never be number 1 and you will continue to play number 1. Great motivational speech!!!

Figured what is his over all message but u don't say it that way ... how many kids u know growing up were thinking and dreaming of playing number #1? We don't grow up dreaming about opportunity to play number 1. We taught to be number one and dreaming about being number 1. Get it???

I think the OP's logic is that kids dream of being #1 not playing #1, and that it is absolutely idiotic of Shafer to try to spin the idea of being a doormat to the best in the country into something that recruits actually want.

Shafer missed it, you missed it, but the OP was spot on.

Either way, at least we know that we don't have to worry about 'Cuse improving any time soon. Coot logic produces coot results!

Then when he hits the recruiting trail, his motto should be; "come play for the orangrmen where u childhood dream of playing against number one can be realized with ease. We have Clemson and FSU where one of them most likely will be number one year in and year out." Go orange
