Does anyone know why did Clemson stop wearing this white and orange cap? It’s a very nice cap on my opinion and is one of my favorites.

I think I heard them say they went with the purple bill because that is what Bakich liked. .. don't quote me. He prefers the purple on the sweep caps.

I know we wear the purple caps when we are going for a sweep, but why don’t we wear the orange and white caps for midweek games?

I think I heard them say they went with the purple bill because that is what Bakich liked. .. don't quote me. He prefers the purple on the sweep caps.
The Sweep cap is a tradition that has been here before Coach Bakich arrived.

I think that specific cap would look great with the orange jersey w/ purple undershirts and white jerseys w/ orange undershirts.
(At least it does when I model it myself looking in the mirror...)😉

Midweek: White vests with purple undershirt. Purple/orange hat
Friday: Orange jerseys, white/orange hat
Saturday: purple jerseys, purple hats (my personal favorite)
Sunday: White jerseys, white/purple hats
If not a sweep situation then purple/orange hats
This way all the jerseys and hats get used. Take the all orange hats and throw them in the trash

The only thing I would change from your list would be wearing the purple and orange hat on Saturdays. While wearing the solid purple hats during midweek games.

I could get with your plan except I would swap the solid purple for solid orange. I really like the orange cap and have never been a fan of any look that has more purple than orange in it.

For some reason baseball looks different. Football and basketball I’ll take all orange all day. Something about the all orange in baseball is just too much. It’s too bright. It’s like how baseball always has its letter logos instead of the actual team logos like the paw on it.

Yes. That hat would be 🔥 with the orange jerseys. I’ve never liked the all orange hat. The team has changed up the tradition this year but whatever they gotta do to win idc. I will say the orange hat def pops with the purple jerseys. I like it but feel like I shouldn’t lol

I remember when they came out with them they were all the rage with my friends.
The first guy I remember wearing one and showing it off ended up flipping allegiances and going to USC (probably couldn’t get in Clemson). That’s a funny memory.

Does no one think all white with orange pin stripes would look good?
May look horrible but would definitely like to see a version of the pin stripe. Looks old school!
