Travel for parents of athletes

When a kid commits to Clemson or another school that’s across the country or a days drive away from the their hometown and they want to make it to the home games or away games, are the parents paying out of pocket or do the school or bag man help them. Just curious. A lot of these kids might come from humble backgrounds but I always see the camera pan to family in the stands and wonder how expensive it’s got to be to follow all your kids games live and in person.

I remember seeing that DJ Horne's parents purchased an RV for travel to IL and AZ during his first four years of college. I don't know whether they still used that his fifth year or if they had maintained their home in Raleigh.
