Sorry if geraniums...

Am I the only who becomes militant when I hear commentators use rediculous terminology?
My current hit list:
Ball skills- if I hear this, the tv automatically goes to mute and I violently throw the nearest ball-sized object across the kitchen.
Arm talent- You mean the kid's got a strong arm? I don't hit the mute button but I will angrily throw/kick something/someone.
Eye candy- when "the Chad" ran Clemson's O this was the only thing I could focus on, like a raging bull. Apparently all the pre-snap movements really turned on the espn crew.
GAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

We wll if the DT doesnt make it, then the LB makes it, and if he misses it the db gets him. Touchdown saving tackle means you were the last guy between the dude and the EZ and he was well on his way without a great tackle to save the day. Its might even mean catching an ankle while chasing the dude down to trip him up. Touchdown saving tackle. Thats not the same as running it up the gut into a big pile for a couple of yards.

A lot of downstream assumptions there.

Every tackle stops the offensive play and ‘saves’ a TD.

the things that bother me the most are.........

1. people that put "the" in front of people's names and stadiums. Just say the person's name or stadium and stop acting like you are funny.
2. Using "SEC" as an adjective i.e. "that kid has SEC speed". Just stupid.
3. ESPN Gameday. I can't watch anymore. Haven't watched in years.
4. Players that wave their finger after making a tackle or a pass break up. I wish bad things on all of them.
5. Players that celebrate plays when the game is out of hand.

Not a big fan of no.4 either (even with our guys). The game today has this "performance art quality" I can do without (said the old man).

Players that run “away” from their teammates when they do something well. Screams me me me me me. Back in the day you ran towards your teammates to celebrate. Everyone knows you made a heck of a play, you don’t have to grandstand.
Along the same lines, how every tackle someone grandstands like they just saved the world from impending doom. There’s a tackle on every play practically - act like it.
And get off my lawn!
