and seem to think it's somehow our birthright to field an elite team.
Many much larger schools with much more money have never had such a run (aTm for instance)
AND, when we hired Dabo, a run like that was beyond even our wildest hope, much less our expectation. So, in that respect, Dabo is a victim of his own success. Most of us just wanted to win some ACC titles again. We got more.
B!tch all you want, and demand a new coach. But look at similar situations at FSU, Tennessee, Nebraska, Auburn, Texas, even Uga and Bama prior to Smart and Saban. There's a lot more room to drop than to rise.

The reason for our decline is due to Dabo’s stubbornness. It didn’t have to happen.

We’re dropping really fast at the moment and with the program no longer being elite the top recruits that we get will stop coming in. So you’re right it’s going to get worse 7-5 seasons should be expected if nothing changes

to see embarrassment on national TV. 2 seasons in a row open up the season on national TV and lay an egg. At this point I'm fine with not being the team everybody talks about being one of the 4 playoff teams. But at this point, we're not one of the 12.

Agree completely - it was an epic run. Amazing and something that rarely happens. Most logical people know that and know we cannot maintain that.
What most other logical people know is what we are doing now, in the CURRENT landscape of CFB, is also not maintainable and will never get us back to where we were. Maybe we should all be happy with that and just bask in the glory years and HOPE something makes things “go back to how they use to be” in CFB so we can be successful again.

Sure. No one likes to lose like that. And given you're paying $11 million a year, no one should have to watch that product. So tell Dabo to give back some salary or get better, since you are fine with the memories

Dabo said "The best is yet to come" and was repeating this after 2018. Remember the "roaring 20s" he promised? But now certain fans are telling the rest to not hold him to that? How much $$$ is he making? Is 8-9 wins = 11 mill a year? Why won't he take a pay cut? How many of his low income background players could be helped if he redirected half his salary to a fund designed to help them? Can Dabo not manage money well enough to survive on 5.5 mill a year?

Good point. It was great while it lasted. Hopefully will reach the top of the mountain again someday.
