What happened to Florida State tonight Will speak volumes for the future of college football and FSU. It’s one thing for fans to say the game is meaningless. Florida State just saw an assembled group of teenagers/young adults pick up their balls and go home to find something better to do then put on a Florida State uniform and play in the Orange bowl.
I have absolutely no problem with Jeremiah Trotter or Nate Wiggins opting out of our bowl game. They have represented Clemson very well. They have played themselves into being first day or early Second day draft picks. Each one of them is going to be looking at minimum greater than $5 million guaranteed with their rookie contract. We don’t have NIL money to compete with that. It was gracious of each of them to opt out so that Woodaz and Lewis could get experience.

When you’re team is based on NIL and transfer portal, you shouldn’t be surprised when those same players transfer or leave for NIL or NFL money

Hard to feel sorry for Norvell and FSU tonight. They embraced the transfer portal and then suffered when those kind of players opted out of their bowl game.

Well, FSU and Norvell died by “The Portal” tonight. It isn’t a fix. It’s more of a bandage, and it’s a bandage that doesn’t heal up the wound.

As bad as the score was tonight, I came away from the game somewhat under-impressed with uga. I’m not sure who FSU could have beaten tonight, as depleted as their roster was. I think it probably just goes to show that ugay players weren’t all that impressed with the Portal $, since they are used to big payouts under the table.

Well it’s on him for not recruiting a better roster than Georgia, but that’s it.
Nothing he could’ve done would’ve prepared them for that game. Especially without their starting QB.
I will stop laying into FSU fans because they had a better season than us, and they have surely changed their minds about the committee by now.

Once they lost Jordan Travis they never had a chance. They were not a top four team this year even with Travis
With that said, I understand why he had to turn to the portal to build the program back up because they were that far down. However, after that stunt he pulled in 2020 I have little sympathy for him. I think he’s going to have a problem having a consistent winner year after year unless he starts reverting to Concentrating on high school recruits
