Why we fired Goodwin and hired Tom Allen. Not saying he’s a carbon copy of Venebles but he’s got that fire and attitude Venebles has and gave to the players like KJ. Goodwin didn’t know how to motivate or adjust very well he just wasn’t ready for the job. Allen is holding not only players accountable but also position coaches as well. I think Allen will bring the fire back to this defense!! Go Tigers!!

Goodwin’s low energy was a problem but we also had much less talent across the board. Last year we only had one DE who could set the edge.

Nats Wiggins is definitely the exception. Loved seeing how much he improved after that Wake Forest game in 2022. The play where he ran down and stripped Omarion Hampton on the goal line is one of the best plays I’ve ever seen

yessir! that's the last big good play to happen in the West End Zone***

Tom Allen is bringing a lot of energy. So is Boulware.

That will trickle down. We are talented but not anywhere near as talented as we were several years ago. I expect an improvement but I do not expect our defense to be what it was when the Power Rangers were here.

At the end of the day does the fact that they may not be the greatest defense in Clemson history really matter? Get behind our Tigers and support them.

2014,2015 Defense was not talked about enough. it set the stage for the CFP run and those pieces are not in the program right now .

we need Tom Allen to be an instant impact

or we will lose all rights to call our stadium Death Valley

Aug30th means so much

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I would argue that we are as talented in our starting lineup we dont have

nearly the depth as those teams. BUT in the era of NIL and the transfer portal no one is as deep as they used to be. Future first round D-lineman don’t sit on the bench and wait their turn like they did for us in 2015; now a days those guys are in the portal and out the door. While we haven’t really lost those guys other definitely have.

No one is as deep as they used to be. Top talent no longer waits for PT. I for one am excited about our group.

and 2015 was not Power Rangers

it was Kevin Dodd. Shaq Lawson . and company ...

we use to also injure teams best players because we were physical

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up
