Anything is possible. They may just let that GT game beat them twice.
That's one problem with a team loaded with portal players. You don't necessarily have a team that has bonded and has the cohesion necessary to overcome adversity

I would have taken FSU and given the points against GT.
This week, if I had to put money on it I'd take BC with the points. (That might be good news. Based on my ability to pick games, that should mean FSU winds in a blowout. 😉🤦♂️🤦♂️ )

Less than nine days though.
This was horrible scheduling for FSU.
They had to travel to Ireland. Get pushed around in the trenches all game. Lose a game at the last possible moment.
Absorb that loss. Fly back to campus. Practice with jet lag and disappointment in sweltering heat and humidity to prepare for a team that will want nothing more than control the run game/clock.
I can see this being another loss for FSU if BC pressures DJU and can run the ball.

I agree with most everything you say, but there should be no lingering jet lag when flying back west. I lived in England for a couple of years and can tell you that our ACC comrades felt like absolute junk the first day they arrived. (We always flew red eye, leaving from the East Coast anywhere from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and landing roughly 8-10 hours later depending on layovers.) Second day would be a little better; third day they'd be ready to go full strength.
Anytime we'd fly back west, we'd have a really long day that day but would be ready to crash at bedtime and woke up the next day feeling good.
Assuming they stayed the night in Dublin on Saturday, they'd have flown on Sunday morning and would land on Sunday morning EDT. Sleep well Sunday night and Monday would have been like normal, possibly a tiny bit fatigued.

I was expecting ACC to schedule an away game for FSU this Saturday. Instead they get a home game with an extra two days to recover from the trip to Ireland. Then, ACC gave them a bye week next week.
Whatever happens, Nole fans can't blame it on the scheduling.

I wouldn’t be shocked. FSU was a top 10 team and had playoff aspirations. They may feel they have not much to play for at this point. They could still make the playoff but have little room for error. We all know DJ is going to give away at least one game

there are multiple reasons BC could beat FSU in an upset.
Losing on last play of game, to a team you were favored to beat by 10+, can have lasting ramifications on any team. Look at our guys last year...the Duke game really hampered the season and at 4-4 it was not really clear to many of us where Clemson was headed for the season. After just 1 game, the media hype for FSU has faltered and maybe some guys on that team will see things not going so well early and could start to give up on the team and Norvell. The culture at FSU is not anything remotely like Clemson, so my thought is this weekend is a HUGE moment for those Noles. Of course they could rally back and get better but it could be.....0-2 with so much pre-season hype based on high talent transfers, oh how awesome would that be for some of these narrative junkies(myself included).
I want nothing more than every team that took 10-20 transfers instead of recruiting high school kids or sticking with "their" guys and coaching them up to fail so miserably that it makes the system blow up entirely and those teams to completely lose their eligibility and no longer field a team. Yes, that is how much I loathe this new college football landscape of transfer portal shenanigans
Point being, long flights and having some fatigue associated with that "could" be an issue for FSU and I certainly hope BC comes out swinging and lands some blows early.

I could see BC beating them but not sure I want to see it happen. In this era of the top two teams get into championship game you almost have to hope the people you play keep winning. We do not control our on destiny against BC and if you look at their schedule their toughest opponent is VA Tech after Fsu.
