!. Stop acting like you know basketball and knew CBB was a bad coach from the beginning. The man achieved some really good things for Clemson basketball.
2. Stop thinking that Clemson needs to get back to its proud basketball history and tradition because Clemson has never been consistently good or even seen as above average in terms of basketball. We are to basketball within the ACC as uscjr is to football within the SEC.
It is time to make a better mark via basketball.
Now to make you happy: A. I believe that Coach BB should be let go at the end of this season, probably no matter what happens the rest of the season and if there is NCAA Tournament invitation and NCAA Tournament wins.
And I think Graham Neff will make a move. Here is why... I think this is his main way to be able to make his own mark at Clemson. To create life within and for the Clemson basketball program. He cannot do anything really to make football or baseball better. Clemson Basketball is where Neff can do something that no other AD has been able to do. Change the culture. Create a consistent winning program.
But he can or could really make his mark as an AD by creating a strong basketball program with a dynamic coach and teams that win consistently. So can AD Neff make a great hire, find his own Dabo?
We shall see. But I do believe that it is time. Clemson can use new blood, new life, new energy. Clemson's basketball future needs a new voice, new leadership.
So all you naysayers and gripers... if Neff lets Coach BB go, then the issue is who can Clemson hire? Who would want to come to Clemson? Who wants to come to a place that really does not support or has not widely supported basketball?

True. Brownell didn't foul a 3 point shooter late in the closing minutes or miss critical free throws.

Well, for one, a 30 million dollar bball complex. The new assistants. Neff has done everything and then some from a support standpoint.
This all goes to your very last point. What indicators would show a new coach Neff was, is serious. The fact he's given Brownell everything needed to succeed. We have one of the best bball support staff and marketing team you'll find anywhere... and that includes Duke and Kentucky. There's great, big name coaches that would accept that challenge.

plus the $63,000,000.00 spent 7 years ago. That’s an average of nearly $15,000,000.00 per year in investment.

This is precisely why Neff's increased support for Clemson basketball

is so important.
Yes, it's needed to give Brownell and his staff all the resources they need. But it's also vital to show prospective head coaches that we understand what successful college basketball programs need - and provide those things.
I mention this because a lot of people here like to talk about us "wasting money" on basketball. It's not wasted. It's giving Brad a more reasonable chance at success, and if he doesn't achieve that, we can feel good that the next coach will be coming into a solid situation.

He’s literally accomplished nothing other than breaking our embarrassing streak at Chapel Hill.

The credit for breaking the long time never win in Chapel Hill goes to uncheat bb coach Roy Williams for not having his team foul us to take away our chance at a 3.

Our team played really hard but unfortunately didn't deliver the win they should've.

I agree Clemson fans ignorance about the game of basketball is an issue. It is one of the toughest games to figure out. Not sure if you noticed, but it was near 7 minutes into thr 2 nd half before half the crowd quit hollering that Clemson was taking shots at the wrong basket , many not realizing you swap sides of the court at halftime.
In contrast, it is amazing how knowledgeable Clemson fans are in the sport of soccer. The fans grasp of the game had led to multiple National Championships!

It's not that hard.
You fire a coach that isn't meeting expectations and then hire a coach who may meet expectations...

Mark Few could earn a million more per year if he made Brownell's salary. If he really wanted to prove he could win with the best of them, take the challenge at Clemson.

Mark Few has been offered jobs paying him much more than Gonzaga pays

and also much more than we are likely to pay, and has turned them down.
He has made it clear that he is happy at Gonzaga and doesn't want to leave.

Greg Buckner, if you want to try the NBA coach route. Or why not make a push for Shaka. Not saying we get him, but same thing happened with baseball. This never ending cycle is old.

NBA experience has worked for GT... at least against us. I'd take Frank Martin at this point.

I honestly don’t care if the next guy does three years and is fired. At least we saying we are tired of mediocre play in basketball and will continue to search for that one coach that can bring us to a consistent tournament team.

I get so tired of hearing this BS statement from mouth breathing idiots. 14 years of the same old crap and it will not change with this guy running the program. This is what he is.
Clemson has shown two things. A willingness to sink money into a mediocre program AND the loyalty of allowing a guy 14 years to make his mark. Name a coach that wouldn't say that is an advantageous location to develop a winning program.
