The misfits were the coordinators... he should resign and go find experience and leadership skills at the FCS level then come back and try again, or simply admit that he is actually an analyst and not a coordinator and go back into the box. Stop trying to be BV...

I think we can officially call this a bad hire now. Wes may be brilliant and have all kinds of potential but he’s in way over his head here. This is virtually the same Defense that BV had in the top 10 of every category last year.

it's hilarious, everybody now saying what I have been saying the day that Dabo told everybody his choices for COORDINATORS, and when I said before our first games was ever played that Dabo had made a big mistakes with both his choice, and I was talked to like I was a Duke fan making personal attacks against Dabo, when all I was doing, was stating the obvious, you can't replace experience with someone with much less to none!!!!

That picture of Goodwin could easily be mistaken for Brian Kelly when he walked into Death Valley for the first time. Totally bewildered. You can almost see his mind saying "Oh sh!t what have I gotten myself into."

Goodwin did not throw a pick six, or get a punt blocked for a score. His defense gave up 21 points, and had our offense been able to sustain a few drives, could have told a different story. If I had a criticism, it's our Dline not containing the QB and getting too far into the backfield. Tackling by our linebackers was terrible last night as well, although uncharacteristic. Anyway, it is far too early to be calling for this guy's head.

Notre Dame had 263 yds rushing. 26 first downs. 17 by rushing. Something is bad wrong when you give up that much with the front 7 tallent Clemson has.

Well, perhaps they are not as good as projected. Bresee is far from full speed. Davis had one tackle. ND did run at will. They have a huge offensive line that pushed the Tigers all over the field. From LT across they are 6'8", 6'5",6'3", 6'7", and 6'6" along with some big tight ends. Once their backs got to the second level they ran through or over multiple LB's, but particularly safeties and corners where at some positions we are simply undersized. We repeatedly brought a safety up for run support but it was not enough.
We were beaten by a more physical and better coached team. Can't leave the defense on the field the whole game and as already stated, they gave up 21 points, with one TD coming after the INT inside the 10 yard line. Scoring 14 points on offense is not going to beat anyone.

What happen, and what has been happening that shown less bc of the talent we were playing against, it's on Dabo and the two two coordinators he hire without experience in the jobs they were hired to do...

But Wes looks more and more like he was hired away from the Waffle House . Dabo didn’t win two nattys by hiring mediocre coordinators . Defense looks like the coach doesn’t watch film. When you start a game plan, stopping the run is always first. When a team is one dimensional?it should be easy. I guess not though.

Ya'' keep saying in these comments that the coordinators need to go but everything rises and falls on leadership so at some point you guys have to look at Dabo and say he's got to do better. Brent Veneables was his best hire and he's not done well with his hiring since that moment. Once the dust has settled we've just got to realize that Dabo has some deficiencies. I respect and celebrate what he's done and I hope that he readjust and gets his focus back. I realize that you can't stay on top forever but he needs to go back to simplicity and the purity of what got us here. Clearly it's in him because it wouldn't have happened without him but he got distracted and lost his way

To me this loss was not a lack of intensity of players or lack of leadership on the field. It was ND 5 offensive linemen and 3 tight ends going against our 4 d linemen. This is a mismatch everyday.
Why we did not add another D linemen to the mix or maybe 2. Make them throw the ball instead of running freely
To me this is on Goodwin and the defensive staff
