Pretty crappy ending to a great career. Hate it for him. Good luck in the pros.

I wish it could have ended differently for him. If he makes the 3 he missed and gets the chance to make another at the end of the half, it's a different game and we could legit be talking about a BT Potter Orange Bowl MVP... it sucks... but hey, BT is the man either way. One game does not define his career, he has been one of the most solid kickers in Clemson history.

Looked like to me he was wide open for the pitch on the fake fieldgoal. I guess pitching to him was really not part of the play. Could have been a big play in the game. Oh well. Good luck, B.T. We will miss you.

Yep. Wondering why the pitch was not part of the scheme. Is that one of the "technique" things the coaches say needs to be cleaned up each week. If pitching is not part of the scheme, it should be. And the blame falls on coaches.

It's a different game with an experienced coaching staff. You hear Dabo talking all the time about good a player is bc of the experience they've gotten, and that's the absolute truth with all of our players, but it's a shame that Dabo didn't consider valuable experience when hiring the team two experience COORDINATORS. The truth can never come a lie, and the truth is that nether of his coordinators had any real experience at the job they are now juggling like round ice cubes, and they are dropping them at every practice, and every game. We lost games that we wouldn't have lost with BV, and even TE. We struggled with games we shouldn't have, and wouldn't have with BV, and even TE. If you buy a western flyer bike over a Schwinn, you've got what you paid for.
BV and TE left their jobs at Clemson making a couple of mil each, they went to their new jobs making even more, Dabo hired their "both" replacements for a price of less than what BV, or TE were making each when they left Clemson. Dabo, Clemson, and the Clemson fan base has in Streeter and Goodwin, two for less than the price of one, we got exactly what Dabo bought and paid for!!!!!

"A different game" with different coordinators? 1) BT has been outstanding and will continue to be outstanding. 2) Our defensive staff is rock-solid. Our defensive coaches and players have put us in a position to win EVERY game this year--- with the exception of Wake Forrest--- D.J. won that game for us.
I thought the same thing when Dabo chose to hire from within.. then someone pointed out to me that external hires typically want to bring their staff. In our case, we lose some solid coaches if that happens and we don't get Nick Eason, who has already proven to be a great recruiter and coach.
Offensively, the jury is still out there. Dabo sees the bigger picture and trusts the Lord to guide him. We have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. Had Dabo not had an excellent vision, we never land Venables and consequently never have two additional National Championship wins and 4 additional trios to play for the National Championship. Just because we don't see change does not mean Dabo has lost his vision. If a change needs to be made, he'll make it. He's done that multiple times.
I say we go all the way next year and silence the doubters. Our boys have heart. The defensive leadership on the team is such that veteran players take ownership of their jobs to keep playing as champions to honor those who preceded them ( Grady, Stephone, Christian, Clelin, Sexy Dex, etc.) Our defensive staff is rock solid, and we will have a good ( possibly great) offense next year-- whether Streeter leaves, is moved around, or maintains his current position.

Thank you, BT! Clemson nation is forever grateful for you!!! Without you, we would have broken our home winning streak 2 years ago. Without you, we don't win all ACC games this year.
Looking forward to seeing where you land next year.
Thank you for being a TIGER!

Love BT, grateful for his time at Clemson, and am grateful that he decided to come back for his last year. I'm sorry the last game didn't turn out as a fairy tale ending for him but he already had our hearts and he didn't do anything to tarnish that image in my mind. Good luck young man. Once a Tiger always a Tiger.
Just remember one thing though, when you are in the NFL during the player introductions where you say your name and your affiliation, always be proud to say, "CLEMSON!"
