Good to see a lot of the young guys play well. Like the defense that was much better.

When you compare the recruiting classes, facilities, and coaching salaries between the schools we underperformed. Should’ve held them below 20% from the field and no more than 35 points.

LOL they won by 46 points, shot over 40% from three, over 50% from the field…I mean they (mostly Beadle) were too loose with the ball, but they played well! Not sure what you wanted to see

I think that what he was saying when comparing the two programs for what each are, our guys should have performed much better than they did with more dominants than they did. Like pitting a Pit Bull against a Weiner Dog, the Pitbull would have never allowed the winner dog a chance to take a deep breath before he ended it. With the talent our program has compared to Benedict College, we should have been the Pit Bull taking on the Weiner Dog, we should have crushed them with the coaching staff, and the talent that Brownell has, and that's not what really happened, lol....

Benedict is not Duke but we are off to a good start. Any time you make 40% of your 3's and get 50 rebounds you have shot well and played good defense. Good shooting and good defense equals wins.

We won't begin to learn about this team until game 2

at USuC. The Citadel is picked next to last in the SoCon. They are bad. Understand, I have no issue with that type game as an opener. Pretty common actually.
After The Citadel, 9 of the next 11 games are against teams that can beat us. We can also beat them. Bellarmine is an experienced, efficient low major, as is Towson, both picked to win their leagues. Both are the type teams that can give inexperienced teams fits. 6 of those 11 games will be against power 5 schools. Loyola-Chicago and Richmond are both quality mid majors.
To me, this is the defining stretch of the season. PJ likely misses many of these games and cannot be expected to be firing on all cylinders when he does return, hopefully soon. That means the rest of the team will have to thrive in their roles, and mesh, quickly, offensively and defensively.
If, if, we can remain above water through this, we have a chance at a decent year when PJ is back full throttle.
