the level of competition he is facing. I'm sure the coaching staff will help him develop his game, especially some kind of jump shot. This highlight reel had only dunks and layups.

I have also thought that bc he does not play for dorman he plays for a small little school where he is light years ahead of the competition he faces. But I also think his basketball abilities are off the charts and he prob would be doing just as good at a bigger school. I love clemson chances bc like they said he would be instant star best recruit clemson bball has ever got unlike if he were to go to Kentucky or UNC he would be another top rated recruit to come through. If he comes to clemson I think he will be a one and done but In that one he can do big things, would be awesome for our program to land him. Idk if a school has ever landed the #1 player overall in football and basketball in the same cycle, can't wait to see where he goes Go Tigers!!

I watched him play Lavar Ball's summer team on ESPN and he was by far the best player on the court! These kids now play on summer league teams that play plenty of competition! He will be fine a one and done!

I'm certain that the staff would love to hear your thoughts on his obvious developmental shortcomings due to having to compete against players that he's better than .
All that dunking and shot blocking must be a terrible hindrance to the fundamental portion of his basketball repertoire.

He's not rated because of his high school basketball history. That's almost recreational for him...and the coaches nationwide aren't stupid when it comes to recognizing talent.

Idk if I agree with that, there are plenty of guys that put up ridicoulous stats with smaller schools but never get the type of attention Zion gets, he will do just fine with the big boys I trust recruiting and scouts opinion on Zion a little more than yours tbh no disrespect.

I wouldn't say he will have many issues transitioning to college ball considering he has an NBA body and NBA athleticism. However, he may struggle to play a lick of defense and actually make plays in the half court that don't require running people over en route to a highlight dunk. In other words, he needs to develop a shot but I have no doubt he can do that. Brad turns guys into good shooters--ie: Blossomgame, Shelton Mitchell, KJ McDaniels, etc.

I agree you are spot on with that, he will have to work on his shot bc he won't be able to man handle ppl like he did in high school but his body type and athletic abliltiy will transition very well in college imo. Hope we can land this stud!

Dude is 6'6", 275 and can jump out of the gym, plays against much better competition in travel leagues.
Don't think he would have an issue transitioning to "big boy ball."

Milton Jennings was also a 5 * McDonald's All American and played at a small private school and we all know how that turned out. That being said this guy is way more athletic but I do think there is something to be said for the competition he is playing against the majority of his games.

Very true but like previously stated with all the summer leagues and AAU leagues these kids play in now they see a lot of high level completion that he doesn't see while playing for his school and does very good and looks the part when playing in those leagues so his playing at smaller private school doesn't scare me into thinking he won't be able to play with big boys, Jennings also wasn't the #1 overall player in his class and def wasn't a freak of nature like Zion either so not the best comparison to make.

Zion is arguably the best high school player since LeBron.

Comparing him to a player like Jennings is laughable. They are both McDonald’s All-Americans from South Carolina, but the comparisons end there.
There is a reason why the Dukes, UNCs, and Kentuckys of the world didn’t want Jennings, but have made Zion their top priority.

Clemson fans make me think they are either kidding or from rival schools trying to make Clemson fans look like absolute morons. If you are a Clemson fan and have questions like the ones on this post then first off.. you may be a moron and not know it and need to be reminded of the previous 100 years or whatever of our basketball program...
Clemson has never.. yes NEVER had a anyone play here of his caliber. Ever. Milton Jennings..c'mon man. not even close to Zion in any way form or fashion. No one was posting Milton as the number 1 or 2 player in the country or wearing Milton's jersey in Rap videos. Zion not only brings basketball skills but notoriety and a pathway for other promising recruits to want to follow suit.
The big picture with Zion is great you can't put a price tag on it. He will be a superstar at Clemson will probably eclipse the stardom of our football players. He will be Clemson royalty and local legend if he becomes a Tiger. The dude will have a good team around him as well.
I'm not getting hopes too high b/c to fend off Kentucky and UNC in the final week will be a steep uphill battle that we've NEVER won ever. Just that alone will be priceless.
So i know there are always those who want to find a bone to pick about winning the lottery too. Thats the same as the people questioning whether he can transition or not... does it matter if he can transition quickly?? REally? No. Ive never seen Clemson get a stud like Zion and have always wanted to see it. I'm not a jersey guy but if Zion is a Tiger that my first!

I guess we'll wait and see who he chooses, just like everyone else. What I've read on his school choice prediction is like the hurricane landfall prediction 5 days out. This truism won't stop people opinions though.

No doubting his skills, but how is his rebounding/ defense/FTs? If he wants to win here (CLEMSON)- he's going have to learn to make his team mates better---not sure his videos show that.
----------- 1st person I heard go on record with Williamson to Clemson, Mickey Plyer.
