Zee don't let it be embarrassing to you bc there are a bunch of us Tiger fans here in or close to the Cootlumbia area that are just tire of hearing the coot BS of how Dabo/coaching staff, boosters, or who ever has a few dollars to spare are cheating by buying all the elite players that Clemson has since Dabo and staff has gotten our FB program headed in a positive direction. Not one of them or anyone else has ever produced any evidence of cheating, but we're cheating just the same, and how the cheating is being funneled through NewSpring Baptist church where the NCAA wasn't going to be digging around in the business of a church as big as the New Springs churches were, and Dabo and Clemson are allowed to cheat. And it do seem that here and around Cootlumbia, that is their story of how Clemson is winning, and about everyone of them has their version of the church and Dabo's way of getting away with cheating.
I always tell them if that's what they really believe, they should find one of big O churches they have here in Cootlumbia and do the same if the actually believe that winning was that easy through a church that would be willing to use God, and God's place or worship to funnel money to players to come and play FB for the Gamecocks. They tell me that good christian folk in Cootlumbia would never stoop as low as Dabo to win a FB game, and that is so funny that it's impossible not laugh in their face. The truth is that the good folk in Cootlumbia would sell their souls to the devil or to a washed up drunk if it meant beating Clemson every year. They have already proved that by giving Ole ball coach a raise after he reported to his gamecock Sunday coaches show, DRUNK!!!
I'm one, and I'm sure there are many other Tiger fans that would be just fine if we dropped the coots from our yearly schedule, and only played them a home and away game once every 6 or 7 years just to show them that we still own them. Go Tigers!!!

season as a whole. Let the Coots be happy that they don't get stomped this year, and they can fend for their sorry SEC selves.

The Clemson-South Carolina game is more than just history or rivalry. For some it's a lifeline. I served in the military for 15 1/2 years and on my last deployment in 2008 I was stationed with a unit from Columbia, SC and we were deployed to Baghdad, Iraq. Most of the missions during that time were a grind, spending hours upon hours outside the wire just to come in and get a little sleep before you head back out again. The Clemson-South Caroline game was a release, not just for me, a guy who grew up in Seneca and is a die hard Clemson fan, but also for all the troops that I served with that were a mix of Clemson and South Carolina fans. I remember the 2008 game vividly. We had to wake up at zero dark thirty, go to the little screening room that acted like a makeshift movie theater on our FOB, exhausted from lack of sleep already just to see the game... and while the room was full, every seat was empty because everyone was on their feet the entire game. My entire unit showed up to watch the game, except those who were out on mission. To us, watching that game was the closest thing to being home. It not only excited us before the game, but sustained us afterwards. The Clemson-South Carolina series is more than just a game for some. For some, it gives hope, because no matter what side of the fence my fellow troops fell on, Team Tigers or Team Gamecocks, we all walked out of there aware of how important that game was to each one of us.

Thank you PatrioticTiger for sharing this. We appreciate your service and your reminder how important it is for our military to have any connection to home.
