The ACC officials have foul problems. Thomas didn't get in foul trouble at all in the NCAA Tourney. But getting a couple extra bigs don't hurt a bit, especially one that can stretch the floor a bit.

Brownell has finally figured out over the last few years that Clemson is not going to out recruit the Duke's and UNC's of the world, so your best chance of competing in the ACC and the NCAAs is through the transfer of players system. The quality of transfer players that Clemson is getting is improving, and needs to improve even more. If I were Brownell, I would mix these transfer players with more overseas players, then finish it off with any decent local players if necessary. Clemson has in the past been able to pick up a decent 4 star player. I would just leave the Zion Williamson type of players alone. It is a complete waste of time, money and effort. You can have a Zion Williamson type of player that lives right on Clemson's door step who grew up a huge Clemson fan in a family of huge Clemson fans, and attended multiple Clemson games while growing up, but once he becomes a Zion Williamson type of recruit, he would still spurn Clemson for Duke or UNC. There just really is not much of justification to recruit them. Transfers and overseas players is the way to go.
