And we had to "settle" for Cade?
Once again, things worked out really well for our Tigers.

Cade just needs to execute on the field this year, as the highlight his Clemson career. The sky is the limit for Cade, he has all the tools in place to be successful.
Go Tigers, Beat LSU!!!

He needs to go thru his reads and sometimes, just settle for less than the absolute best outcome. Saying this on a micro level, like each down. He may be past this now.

I Agree and Disagree

I only disagree in part because of the development of DJU. A mistake which I believe began with his recruitment. He was raised by a football culture that groomed him to play a certain style at QB. During his tenure at Clemson, he was developed by Brandon Streeter, and his system of play calling did not mesh with the talents and abilities of DJU.
I truly believe that DJU would have thrived under Riley's scheme and play calling better than Streeter's. That's because DJU was groomed for that West Coast style of offense where they play a spread set in the shotgun. They had DJU playing almost a Power I under center and it just doesn't bode well. I will say that I can certainly see why he was recruited due to his size, and they wanted to develop him into a pro-style dual threat QB, but it didn't quite work out.
In all, it was a waste of time for Clemson and a waste of time for DJU, and both sides paid the price for it. That's not to say that Brandon Streeter is a bad coordinator because he's had success at other schools prior to assuming a role at Clemson, but his coaching style did not match that of DJU's talents and abilities, and he was employed on the field incorrectly. If they could have developed the play calling around his talents and abilities, I believe Clemson could have won another National Championship with DJU at QB.
Of course, that's all water under the bridge and I'm certainly looking forward to this season because it appears that we have a legit chance at winning it all.
GO TIGERS!

Three different schools tried. He’s just not that good. It’s OK. It happens.

And who’s fault that he was the same at Oregon State and worse at FSU? DJ was a miss. It happens. I think he would have been considerably more successful at baseball
